It has proven to be more beneficial to eat the cloves raw because there are more health benefits than eating it cooked. Allicin is the powerful factor of garlic we need for the magic to happen. Once you crush or cut the garlic, let it sit in the air for a bit before consuming to make sure you get the full benefits.

I love the taste of garlic and I have heard that it’s good for you 🙂
I use fresh and powdered garlic when I cook. I use fresh garlic for Italian red sauce and when I marinade my meats.
Do you know if eating powdered garlic has the same benefits? I wouldn’t want to miss out on it.

    • Rachel Grace says:

Hi Dinh, thank you for writing me! Yes, garlic powder has the same benefits as whole garlic because it is just the powdered version of fresh garlic cloves. So keep doing what you are doing and you will benefit in all that garlic has to offer 🙂

I love garlics. I know it’s good for health but I didn’t know it is THIS good. I actually prefer eating it raw, but sometimes the breath is kind of overpowering. When I’m cooking for my kid, you can find garlic in almost every dishes that I prepared. That’s how much a garlic-believer I am.
